The Idabel & McCulloch lakes area is a perfect place for families who love to snowmobile. There's plowed road to the parking lots and picnic area. A small groomer kept at Idabel Lake takes care of a network of trails around eight lakes.
For Cross-Country
skiing there are
many trails to explore between Idabel and McCulloch, and all of them
are great for kids.
From Idabel Lake there are many other areas to explore -—
McCulloch, Brown, Canyon, Haynes and Greyback Lakes, as well as atop
the 7200-foot Little White Mountain.
There are numerous logged areas, unplowed logging roads and of course
the Kettle Valley Railway from Myra Canyon to Beaverdell (over 55km).
30 mins to Big White ski hill. Big White Ski Resort opens at the end of November and remains open until mid-April giving us the longest season in the Okanagan. Make sure you get in taking advantage of the beautiful, crisp Champagne Powder in the beautiful Okanagan.
"It's the snow" is the motto and we live up to the name with an average 750cm (24.5ft) of Okanagan Champagne Powder falling annually.
Idabel Lake is a swimming lake that is stocked with fish for those fishing enthusiasts. All row boats and canoes and life jackets are complimentary.
Idabel Lake is a swimming lake that is 2 miles long. Adjacent to the lodge is a small sandy beach area sloping down to the lake & 60 ft. floating dock. The Jolly Roger Pirate ship is attached to the end of the dock & to the beach, by rope, offering endless hours of water play to children.

The Kettle Valley Rail Trail is a multi-use recreational rail trail located in the Okanagan-Boundary region of southern British Columbia.
The trail uses a rail corridor that was originally built for the now-abandoned Kettle Valley Railway. The trail was developed during the 1990s after the Canadian Pacific Railway abandoned train service.
Numerous tours of the are available through tour operators.
